I put it in the menu if we are going to go out to eat one night. For example: High Corn Fructose syrup,HCFS. It is more dangerous than what the media portrays it to be. that was my cure.   11/12/2009 04:17 Samberly: For food savings, buy a 4-ingredient cookbook. You can always find a few easily-repeatable recipes that you wont' mind cooking, and it will really cut down on take out bills. Try buying ground beef, grilling it while making pasta, and then combining the beef in a good pre-made pasta sauce. Start cooking healthy meals at home and when the kids want some thing sweet give them fruit and yogurt and you'll find that juice and tea are more satisfying than soft drinks. Cheese and fresh vegetables are more fulfilling than crisps and other fatty snacks.
