Budeting tips, how bassplucker is saving money:
I drink the coffee work offers despite it being awful. I got a seasonal bus pass that allows me to take the bus anywhere and at any time in the region.Not printing anything any more. Printer is broken and stays that way. Not go out for meals. I prefer what I prepare at home. No drinks at the bar. gymnastics on the house bike save the 4£ leisure center cost.

bassplucker: I am sticking to it but the other half is having a hard time adjusting to the regular ticking of boxes.
What made you want to use a budgeting software (personal budget planner):
bassplucker: we found ourselves in debt and not having a written plan and regular place to register our expenses was creating bad feelings between the 2 of us. One of us needed to be clearer on how much was being spent and where in order to understand how to manage the debt £6,000 in 4 years.
Leave the credit card at home, start using cash:
bassplucker: I use debit card so I have a record of the purchase to check against the budget file.
