Budeting tips, how MacDonaldFamily is saving money:
Spend time at home with my child. Play games and activities we already have. Play outside and pre-plan for the week (meals). Make sure I only buy what we need at the grocery store.

My budget: Pay them off, only spend 10.00-20.00 dollars a month on your credit cards. That way it is easier to pay it off. And with personal loan interest, get it payed off and don't use them.   09/09/2010 18:51

Teesh: You should consider consolidating these two- I would look at putting the cc on top of the personal loan because it is generally lower interest (13-14%) as compared to (19%), another option would be to consolidate both debts into your home loan if you have one as this is the cheapest option- you can do this by getting what's called a supplementary loan on top of your homeloan, it lets you pay your debt over 10 years at a lower interest rate 7%. If none of those options are viable I would shop around for a competitive Personal Loan rate and do a balance trf for 0% for 6mths or 2.9% for 12mths- This is currently being offered by ANZ  01/05/2010 17:11

Billy: Yes, as for the C.C. scene; shred or cut them UP! And as for the P.L. if possible; pay as much as possible on the principle, in order to reduce the interest rate.   04/04/2010 07:40

MacDonaldFamily: It seems slow to load.... but I will contiue to try it out as long as it works for me.

MacDonaldFamily: NSF fees, high interst rates, a new job with an income....I'm scared to know where I would be without starting a budget. Living without one has not worked for me thus far.
